Mariapia Di Palma

Mariapia Di Palma holds an MSc in International Management from Bocconi University, Italy, and the Certified Co-Active Coach (CPCC) designation from the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) in the USA. She is also an accredited Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coach Federation (ICF), and is certified in the Leadership Circle Profileā„¢ by The Leadership Circle. Mariapia is currently certifying in Conversational IntelligenceĀ® for coaches at the Creating We Institute.

In her role as leadership and development coach at The Blackboard Tree, Mariapia works with individuals, teams and organizations to help them achieve their potential and create sustainable competitive advantage in their learning and development journey.

Mariapia plays a fundamental role in facilitating both young talent and more senior professionals in their personal and professional development in areas such as leadership, change management, communication, teamwork and team dynamics, confidence building and self-awareness, talent development.

She works at best with high potential clients in self-discovery of their own leadership style, professional passion, as well as discovering their role in their team / organization, while being faced with personal and/or professional challenges. Her clients include Master/MBA students, young professionals, NGO owners, consultants, social entrepreneurs, and more seasoned business executives, who all have in common being in a transition phase towards greater contribution to their social and business environment (for which impact they need greater self-reflection, deeper observation, practice of learning goals, application of acquired new knowledge and vision).

In her coaching, Mariapia makes use of action learning plans and development models that focus on:

  • leadership competences, personal traits, psychological tests, limiting beliefs, mental models;
  • conversational intelligence and mastery of effective communication;
  • career coaching; peer coaching / peer mentoring skills;
  • definition of personal and team action learning plan; leadership and team effectiveness;
  • presence and confidence.

Mariapia focuses her coaching/training practices on theories and relevant research derived from the fields of management, leadership, education and positive psychology.

In her free time, Mariapia highly enjoys traveling, cooking, photography, reading, and friends.
