  • Marketing & Communications (MarCom) Team

    The MarComs team handles all external communication from the website, blogs, social media accounts, to the external events we attend.

    This includes but is not limited to the strategy for campaigns, writing content, designing social media posts via Canva, and engaging with visitors on our social media platforms. We work closely with the Events Team to support them with the events they produce.

  • Events Team

    The Events team is responsible for the workshops, interactive webinars, and external fairs that Empower Amsterdam attends. This includes coming up with events that fit our theme, help our community, and fit our brand.

    This team finds facilitators/speakers within EA and outside of EA who are willing to volunteer their time to help our community. We work side-by-side with the marketing team so they can promote our events online. On the day of the event, we’re there to help the facilitator and direct the attendees. If it’s an online event, we are there to handle the tech side of things on Zoom. That means letting people in, managing the recording, and creating break-out rooms.

    Open roles include (but not limited to):

    • Event Coordinator (includes finding speakers and organizing the events)
    • Event Producer (managing the day-of the event)

  • Virtual Assistant to the Board and Management Team

    As our Virtual Assistant, you will support the Board and Management teams by being our spider in the web! This means understanding what is going on, where things are, and keeping us on track with the things that we are working on. Don't let anything fall through the web. We are an ambitious group of people who want to make a difference but we often don't have time to do it all. We need someone who can support us on our mission.

    There will be a bit of project management involved- holding us to our actions, some mailbox checking to make sure we don't miss something, and some appointment setting but not much because we're use to working on our own.

  • People First Team

    The People First team supports our EA volunteers from the beginning and beyond. We handle the vacancies, recruitment interviews, onboarding, training (when possible), and work towards managing a healthy and organized work-flow.

    This includes but is not limited to reviewing HR policies & processes, assessing organizational needs, and assisting in planning, participating in the recruitment process, orienting volunteers to the organization, handling volunteer inquiries, and implementing Talent Management practices.

  • Fundraising Team

    The Fundraising Team supports our organization’s fundraising program and ensures that our mission is well communicated and represented to the community and prospective stakeholders.

    This includes but is not limited to approaching businesses, local authorities, trusts, and individuals to secure funding; organizing and helping with fundraising activities such as sponsored or promotional events; and planning donation campaigns and events.
